Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to JZE: Journal of Zakat Economics undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles.
- Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial team evaluates each submission to ensure its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to publication ethics standards. - Plagiarism Screening
Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to verify originality before proceeding to the review stage. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer-review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. - Reviewer Evaluation
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, validity of findings, and contribution to the field of study. - Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers' recommendations, the editor may decide to:- Accept the manuscript without revisions;
- Accept the manuscript with minor revisions;
- Request major revisions and resubmission;
- Reject the manuscript.
- Revision Process
Authors are required to address reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation when necessary. - Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewers' reports, the quality of revisions, and the manuscript's overall contribution to the journal. - Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final publication.
