Screening for Plagiarism Policy
JZE: Journal of Zakat Economics is committed to upholding academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works. Every manuscript submitted to the journal is subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process.
The journal uses plagiarism detection software to evaluate the similarity level of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, self-plagiarism, improper citation practices, or excessive textual similarity may be rejected without proceeding to the review stage.
The maximum similarity thresholds applied by the journal are as follows:
- Overall Similarity Index: not more than 20%
- Similarity from a Single Source: not more than 5%
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly referenced, and comply with ethical standards of scholarly publishing. Proper acknowledgment of all sources, including published works, data, figures, and ideas, is required.
If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before or after publication, the editorial board reserves the right to reject, retract, or correct the published article in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
